As we traveled deep into the mountains, more and more abandoned gas stations, hotels, lodges and homes were apparent. In the fading afternoon light we entered the woods and a trail that led to what was once the Disney world of Wild West theme parks in the US. Today the saloon, church, rodeo, railway, log houses and other buildings blend naturally into the surrounding pine forest and sometimes peek out like the steeple you see above. With the fading of local tourism this is the last ghost of what once was a thriving economy. See below for a complete walkthrough of this sprawling lost theme park.
